Vintage Wine returns to perform Oldies But Goodies: Hits From the 1950s to the 1970s.
You will hear rock and roll, pop rock, British invasion, soul, and Motown favourites by pioneers, icons, and hitmakers including Buddy Holly, the Beatles, Carole King, Neil Diamond, the Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, the Temptations, the Lovin’ Spoonful, the Doobie Brothers, Fats Domino, the Byrds, Elvis Presley, the Rolling Stones, Dusty Springfield, and the Drifters.
Vintage Wine musicians, a quartet now in its 20th year, are oldies but goodies themselves (like much of their audience!), and with four lead vocalists and musicianship, they inspire and delight their fans.
The show will be illustrated with slides and stories about the songs told by Craig Morrison, guitarist and ethnomusicologist. Don’t worry, it’s just for nostalgia and educational fun (and no exam!).
