For this recital, the famous baritone draws his inspiration from the places where he has lived and reminisces of some of the musical giants he had the good fortune of working with throughout his fascinating career. Gino Quilico draws an overview of Paris, Rome and New York. For him, these mythical cities were the cradles of his first dreams, joys and some of the most intense musical sensations he has first experienced in his life.

Serata d’Amore is a gathering where Gino Quilico tells his story both with words and music. He does so through the French chanson, the canzonetta italiana, Broadway music hall and finally opera. Featured on this program are such glorious arias as Figaro, O Sole Mio, Con te Partirò, La Vie en Rose, Smile, Kalinka and l’Air du Toreador.

Accompanied by the Ensemble Triosphere, Mr. Quilico is surrounded by three talented musicians whose complicity is palpable and a huge part in making this recital an unforgettable evening for the public.

Esteemed as an interpreter of the French and Italian repertoire, lyric baritone Gino Quilico appears regularly with the world’s major opera companies, including the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, The Royal Opera, Covent Garden, the Vienna State Opera, the Paris Opera and the Bayerische Staatsoper. Over twenty opera recordings, including a Grammy Award for his participation in the recording of Les Troyens (Decca) and his critically acclaimed solo recital recording Le Secret (Koch International) have also firmly established Mr. Quilico in the classical recording industry. His recording “Noel” went Gold.

California Dreaming Music From the Golden State, a live concert of the explosive sounds of 1960’s.

Vintage Wine, with special guest Rosalie Cero, performs California Dreaming: Music From the Golden State, a show created by Craig Morrison. A live concert featuring songs from the Beach Boys, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jefferson Airplane, Linda Ronstadt, the Doors, Ricky Nelson, the Mamas and the Papas, the Byrds, Big Brother & the Holding Company, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, the Eagles, and many others.

The band’s guitarist, Craig Morrison, who teaches in the Department of Music at Concordia University and has interviewed many of the creators of this music, will introduce the songs with anecdotes about the places, times, and people connected to them.
